Addo African Home follows a sustainable development policy and supports fair-trade tourism
The property offers accommodation set in traditional chalets called Rondavels and the original farmhouse has been converted into a Lodge.
Addo African Home organize private game-drives to the Park hosted by a professional guide in an open-top vehicle, for full-day or half-day tours.
There is a restaurant and cooking school onsite where international students serve traditional French & South-African food, using fresh products from the organic vegetable garden and local suppliers. The restaurant is open daily and BBQ facilities are also available for a traditional braai.
Breakfast is served in the Lodge, where there is also a lounge for relaxation with television and lots of books, and the outdoor terrace provides a place to enjoy a drink.
Rooms are equipped with air-conditioning, mosquito net, heater, safe, hairdryer, minibar fridge, bathrobes, slippers, organic toiletries, tea and coffee facilities. There is also a laundry service.
The garden offers a natural swimming-pool with loungers.
Free wired internet is provided. Free private parking is available on site. Airport shuttle and transfers are available on request, Port Elizabeth airport is located 1 hour’ drive from the Loge.
Other activities apart from game drives are sandboarding in the Colchester area, hiking in the Zuuberg mountains or horse-trail safaris on the beach.
